The school is situated in the Kent town of Sevenoaks within a 40-hectare site, which includes a number of listed buildings. It is beautifully landscaped and based just 30 minutes away from Central London and Gatwick Airport, and one hour’s drive from Heathrow Airport. With over 30 buildings, over 100 classrooms, 14 sports pitches, 12 lawns, six ponds and thousands of trees, it is a pleasant environment in which students can feel at home. The outdoor spaces are attractive, green and spacious and enhanced by sustainable planting.
Sevenoaks is one of the world's most successful IB schools, and is the top-performing fully co-educational IB school in the UK. In 2018 Sevenoaks was, for the second time in ten years, named The Sunday Times Independent Secondary School of the Year.
Since starting in 2019, Sevenoaks School Summer Programme has welcomed students from over 40 different countries. Their Academic Enrichment course is designed especially for ambitious pupils who want to immerse themselves in one of the UK's top independent schools. World-class co-curricular facilities also await students who join this excellent programme.
Sevenoaks offer a wide range of sporting and creative activities. All activities are planned and delivered by trained Sevenoaks staff and coaches. These include; Badminton, Football, Golf, Dance, Visual Arts, Cooking and Tennis. After a busy day of lessons and co-curricular activities, the evenings are reserved for socialising and so a range of informal events will take place.
Sevenoaks make the most of their enviable location by going on three excursions per session. These include; Thorpe Park, a visit to a famous London attraction and a day in one of the world's leading university cities.
Students will study modules on Critical Thinking, Social Leadership, Creativity and Digital Skills. Each module is a ten-hour course and classes are separated by age. All teachers involved in the course are Sevenoaks School teachers and parents will receive a detailed report from their teachers at the end of their stay
Students will live within the school's spacious boarding house with boys placed in a separate house to girls. Single and double bedrooms are en-suite, with boys and girls in younger years sharing larger rooms.
