StudyTravel Secondary School Award - Guardianship Organisation

lana and james accept award

Last week, Bright World owners, Lana & James Foster and Charlotte Hamson, Director of Sales & Marketing, attended the ST Secondary School Awards. During a star-studded glitter ball online ceremony, it was announced that Bright World Guardianships was the winner of the Guardianship Organisation award 2020/21. Lana and James are pictured here accepting their award. It was a very proud moment for us all after what has been a challenging year for the sector.

how did we become an award-winning guardianship organisation?

At Bright World, the emphasis is on high standards of safeguarding and customer service. The entire staff team at the office and our Local Coordinators are committed to the continued success of the organisation. This award is testament to that because we have won it through schools and overseas agencies voting for us as their preferred guardianship company. Our customers are discerning, so we feel very honoured to have received the most votes amongst the nominees and to have won this award. Winning this award means that our efforts to do the best we can and offer a great service have paid off and we are recognised for our excellence.

why this award means so much

StudyTravel Secondary School award

Bright World has just entered its 21st year of operation. When Lana started the company in 2000, guardianship was a little known extra service that some parents asked for and not all schools insisted on. Over the years, the importance of good guardianship has increased and overseas parents are now increasingly aware of the importance of safe provision for their children while they are in the UK but not in school.

Similarly, schools are now more and more insistent that a UK guardian needs to meet certain criteria. New boarding standards coming out later this year will again increase the need for schools to make sure their international students have professional guardianship in place.

Guardianship has come so far as an industry and we are so delighted that StudyTravel has recognised the industry as worthy of its own award in the Secondary School Awards. Being the first company to win the first award for our industry in our 21st year means everything to us and the whole of Bright World is very proud and happy.
James Foster, Bright World Commercial Director

thank you to everyone

Thank you

Lana and James Foster were given the opportunity on the night to say a few words. Lana thanked StudyTravel for creating the award in recognition of the guardianship industry and of course all the schools and agents who voted for Bright World Guardianships. James reiterated the thanks and also highlighted how proud the whole of the Bright World team are in obtaining this inaugural award for our industry.

We thank everyone who voted for us. It means so much. This is not an award for James and I but a company award that is attributable to the entire Bright World team. Our Head Office team, our Local Coordinators, drivers and host families have all contributed to making us such a popular choice for guardianship because of their dedication and hard work. I think Bright World staff are just fantastic and I feel honoured to work with them all.
